Greys
Narrowing it to Grey tones
With Gray Paintings, Pablo González-Trejo tries to render the invisible through thing layers of graphite, which becomes a territory where the artist allows freedom to interpret it. This work, made for The Floor, starts from the artist’s idea that there is a spiritual dimension to human existence: for González-Trejo, art must make visible that which is beyond what the eye can see. With these paintings, he explores the theme of human existence and tries to visualize that dimension that is neither of meaning, nor of intellect, nor of the heart, but that is part of the most intimate aspects of being.
