Michelangelo Pistoletto did some art Defacing paintings in the sixties and I loved it. Recently I was able to see a retrospective about one of Arte Povera’s founders ‘Michelangelo Pistoletto: Da Uno a Molti, 1956 – 1974‘, at the sublime MAXXI, Rome’s National Museum of XXI Century Arts designed by Zaha Hadid, a real contemporary art cathedral.
